Tony Hozian, MA,CMHC
“Pull up a Chair.”
Anthony (Tony) Hozian meets you where you are and listens to you in a judgment-free zone, as his life has grounded him in what many of his clients are going through – as a father, husband, brother, coach, and more. Tony’s approach to therapy is that we’re all humans, trying to do our best each day, even if our best today might not be as good as it was yesterday. We’re works in progress, and he believes even our darkest sides and moments can be openings to our best selves. Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things. Clients come to him for anxiety, depression, addiction, ADHD, relationship issues, life changes, as well as past trauma. Tony combines the Humanistic Approach with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy — which essentially means he approaches the whole person, while helping his clients break things down to their core and then further into smaller building blocks with simpler and more achievable tasks. With this, he believes we can change our thinking and ultimately how we feel about ourselves, our lives, and each other. Tony holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University, a Law Degree from Loyola University and a BA from Yale University.
