Nikitha Mattey, MA, CMHC, LPC
Nikitha Mattey is a recent graduate of The Chicago School, where she earned her degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Nikitha collaborates closely with her supervisor to provide comprehensive, client-centered care, while also receiving guidance and mentorship to enhance her clinical expertise. Before joining Taking Control, Nikitha gained valuable experience facilitating both group and individual therapy sessions. Her clinical work has included supporting individuals facing a range of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. She has demonstrated a deep sense of compassion and cultural sensitivity in working with diverse populations, spanning from adolescents to older adults.
Nikitha’s therapeutic approach is grounded in several evidence-based theoretical orientations, including person-centered, gestalt, psychodynamic, and multicultural frameworks.
