John F Kenndy once said : “We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone "
In times of difficulty, I think back on this speech and incorporate this into how I practice therapy. Life is hard and sometimes very challenging but rising to meet those challenges and overcoming the odds and tribulations is rewarding in and of itself , some people just need a little help getting there , and when we create those opportunities to think deeper , go farther , and push the limits , and understand where we come from. I think in the end we discovery the best things about us as human beings.
