Logan Green, MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

Logan Green is graduating in June 2022, with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University. He has been at Taking Control Counseling since 2021, originating as an intern and transitioning into a staff member upon graduation. Logan has extensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy. The purpose of psychodynamic psychotherapy is to help people speak their histories, which allows them to live with less suffering. Through speaking their histories, people find the opportunity to create something new from their symptoms. Logan believes in the importance of the particularity of each individual, which is expressed through the specific groups of words, fantasies, memories, fears, and traumatic experiences that constitute each person’s experience. He is accepting new clients for in-person and online therapy at this time.
"Every person who enters into therapy does so for their own unique reasons. It is my duty to listen for that uniqueness, which will guide us towards a resolution. This resolution, however, has yet to be written; through the process of psychodynamic psychotherapy, individuals will begin to author their own story. Where this will lead us, no one can say, but we will depart from your own words. It is at the starting line that I will meet you."
